FOR FUN: COURT ACCESS ANIMATION
Courthouses can appear as fortress-like structures.

But when it comes to public access to what happens inside, the history of openness extends back many hundreds of years.

Open trials are key to the fair administration of justice and public confidence in the judicial process.

So don’t be intimidated by all of the imposing structure of the court and its formality

Attend court proceedings if you can. And if anyone attempts to shut you out . .

Don’t be afraid . . .

Don’t get angry . . .

Do politely stand up and object and ask for a reason . . .

Maybe the judge will reconsider and let you stay.

And, if not, you will have preserved your legal options.
