J-Lab’s research of nonprofit-funded journalism projects was cited in the Pew Project’s annual State of the News Media report.  In just a few years, more than $141 million has flowed into this arena, J-Lab reports.  KCNN.org also served as a resource for the project’s reporting and Oakland Local, a New Voices grantee was also highlighted as a success story.
