Weblogs are naturally optimized for search. They offer lots of links out, and (if you’re part of a “conversation” in your community) you’ll get lots of links in, too. As you write and post material in your blog, each post is a new page for the search engines to discover and crawl. Consistently update the site with new posts. For SEO purposes, consider each post as a separate page that should have a good headline, keywords, tags, categories and so on. Some traditional news sites have seen blogs written by reporters rocket up the rankings much faster than the main sites.
