WE ARE THE REPORTERS OF THE ELECTRONIC WEB SITE http://WWW.ALHORIYA.INFO
WE HPPE BENEFIT FROM YOUR INITIATVE BY ANY WAY¨WE ARE READY TO COLABORATE WITH YOUR VERY GOOD IDEA.
hi hi
At the outset many thanks for distributing such great content!!!
My name is Fatima from a South African NGO called HIVOS.
I am presently tasked with formulating a training manual for the purposes of a 5 day workshop (due to take place next month!!!!) in which we will be training participants on the use of Web 2,.0 tools in producing content on citizen journalism- your site needless to say has provided me with great ideas and I would hereby like to express my heartfelt thanks!!! What a fantastic endeavour!!!
I would, however, like to request permission to utilise the content on your web site for inclusion on our knowledge sharing web portal which is soon to be launched. We are a not for profit concern and have been funded by the EU and HIVOS/SaNGONet to develop a citizen Journalism portal aimed at empowering for civil society organisations in 6 African countries with the requisite journalistic publishing skills.
I have been mandated to source content for the portal. This is informed by the fact that there is no need to reinvent the wheel given the deluge of information available and more so ,specifically, personally whilst I do have journalistic degree I unfortunately have not practiced as a journalist and know that I am no authority on the subject matter thus rendering me a poor candidate to design journal training modules!!! I thus would like to request your permission to use your content in our manuals and or adapt accordingly with the necessary attribution of course.
Please let me know at your earliest convenience if this would indeed be possible.
Again your work is much appreciated and may you continue to produce such excellent content.
Regards
Fatima Rahiman
Please let me know if it will be possible to utilise your content for our knowledge sharing e-learning platform on Citizen Journalism.

I do not just want to create a link on the site but would rather prefer if we could showcase you content on the site (with the necessary attributions of course). In this regard I’m not sure whether the Creative Commons you have assigned to this content would alow fro tis. Howvere I have seen the same comtant showcased on Dan Gillmore’s Citizen Media site so could you please advise if this would be in order??
I have sent previous emails requesting permission but have received no response yet. Please let me know at your earliest convenience if this would indeed be possible.
considering today is 9/12/07, this is pretty old stuff.

Is there any way to sign up with a blog service under a “first-rights only” basis. This would be in case I wanted to use the material in a book or another site later.

We would like to work with you to help improve this new form of media.
kia orana, greetings!
I am the initial respondent to the webpage at
http://www.kcnn.org/research/citizen_media_report/
and have kept comments enabled for my email. Lots of spam on there gals and guys! I have sent an email about it before but obviously people are busy.
If appropriate, I would like to volunteer to keep spam off the page, just for the sheer joy of spanking spammers off an important page.
Let me know what’s possible!
kia manuia, bon journee,
jason

A professor has asked the students to play “Be a Better Reporter” game. We can’t get in. Can you help?
Hi Nancy,
I’m assuming you mean the Be a Better Reporter game on NewsU: http://www.newsu.org/courses/course_detail.aspx?id=knight_reportgame08.
To play the game you first have to sign up at Poynter’s NewsU site and then “enroll” in the course to play the game.
I was wondering if this book was available in Kindle format. I find I am more likely to find the time to get through a book if I can add it to my Kindle list.
