Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center

Committed to train and empower ordinary people to become the media, UC-IMC operates a 30,000 square foot Community Media and Arts Center - including a radio station, performance venue, art studios, and media production studios - in the historic downtown Urbana post office building. The website is open for anyone to post to, a group of editors choose stories to feature. Our newspaper is open to stories from our geographic community. Our gallery is open to artists from throughout the region. The radio station is run by volunteer members - only members can DJ. Every content producer is a volunteer.
