What else should people know about your site:

TheNewsOutlet.org reports and then offers to area media important issue stories that traditional media often do not have the time or staff to develop. The site also showcases the works of student interns. This program is offered as an alternative to the traditional internship. Students get the benefit of working with media professionals, while also attending class and receiving a paycheck.

What are your suggestions and/or links to other community news sites that should be added to the directory?

We are redesigning the website to include links to our media, university and community partners. We started in the Youngstown area and have since expanded to Akron/Canton, with interns at The University of Akron and Kent State University. The outlet plans to expand to two more universities in the next year.
