What else should people know about your site:

We opened in 1999 when there were few independent hyperlocals. We began life as FultonDailyNews.com, opening a sister site in the sister city of Oswego a year later. We eventually blended the two sites under the OswegoCountyToday.com name. We derive about a quarter of our income from building and hosting client websites. We found, particularly in our earliest days, that it was easier to sell advertising if there was a website to which the ad would be linked. So we began building sites for businesses that did not have them, which was most of them at the time. 12 years later, that steady revenue helped us survive a devastating downturn when the recession hit.
