What else should people know about your site:

We are unique and highly successful in growing to become one of San Diego's most widely read news sites on a shoestring budget. In addition to community news and events coverage, we also do investigative reporting and provide free wildfire and emergency alerts via email in our fire-prone region. In addition, we have many specialty sections such as Refugee Voices (our region took in more refugees than any city in America last year), Tribal Views (our county has more Native American tribes than any other county in the U.S.), Readers' Editorials, Green Living, Border Views, Health, Education,People Power, Best of East County, Video Adventures, Best Photos from Readers, Politics, World Watch, East County Roundup, ECM News, Business and Labor, Food, Festivals of the Month, Sports, Arts & Music, Columns, and much more. We are in great need of additional funding as we grow. Knight Ridder has funded Voice of San Diego in our region. Their budget is many times what ours is, yet we beat them out in virtually every category in San Diego Press Club's awards. We've won 32 journalism awards from Society of Professional Journalists and San Diego Press Club, including Best General Interest Website, Best Investigative Reporting, and second best News Site in San Diego. We've partnered with 10 News (ABC TV) to co-investigative some major stories. Just imagine what we could do if we had serious funding!

What are your suggestions and/or links to other community news sites that should be added to the directory?
